This notice explains how Ting Tai Metal Ware Factory Ltd (“Ting Tai”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data: the details you give us when you sign up on this website, and the technical records kept when you visit it. We handle it in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
What we collect
- Your email address. This is required. Without it we can’t add you to the list.
- Optional answers: who the pot is for (home, café or restaurant, shop or wholesale) and where you are. You can leave these blank.
- Technical details: the date and time you signed up, the language of the page you used, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, which we use only to block spam and repeated sign-ups.
- Which website or link brought you to the sign-up form, for example one of our milk tea guides. We record only the site’s name and the link’s label, not your browsing history.
What we use it for
- To send you news, product updates and offers about Rings Brand products. This is direct marketing, explained below.
- To understand what kinds of customers, and which places, are interested, so we can plan stock and where to sell.
- To keep the sign-up form free of spam and abuse.
Visits to the website
Our web host automatically keeps server logs of requests to this website. These record the IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the referring website (if any), and the date and time. We look only at summary statistics from these logs, such as the number of visits and the most-viewed pages, to understand how the site is used. We don’t use them to identify or contact visitors, and we don’t combine them with the sign-up list.
Direct marketing
We intend to use your email address, and any optional answers you give (who the pot is for and where you are), for direct marketing of Rings Brand milk tea pots, tea-making tools and accessories, and related offers, launches and events.
We can’t use your personal data this way without your consent. You give consent by ticking the box on the sign-up form. It costs you nothing.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by emailing hello@ringsbrand.com. We will then stop using your personal data for direct marketing.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t give it to other companies for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
- Companies that provide services to us, only so they can do that work for us: the company that hosts this website and stores the sign-up list, and any email service we use to send our emails. These companies may be located, or store data, outside Hong Kong.
- Courts, regulators or law enforcement agencies, where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we don’t email you again by mistake.
Keeping it safe
The sign-up list is stored on our web host, outside the public part of the website, and only people who need it can access it. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tracking code. If that changes, we will update this notice first.

You have the right to ask for access to, and correction of, the personal data we hold about you. Please send requests to:
